Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Some are essential plumbing (keeping a session alive while you submit a form); others measure how a site is used. Related technologies such as localStorage store small values in the browser without an expiry-based cookie file, and we note below where we use them.

2. What we actually set

• PHP session cookie (PHPSESSID) — strictly necessary. Created when you open a page and used to protect the appointment form against forged submissions. It contains a random identifier only and expires when you close your browser.
• Consent record (hv_consent, localStorage) — strictly necessary. Remembers whether you pressed Accept or Reject on the cookie notice so we do not ask you on every visit. It stores a single word and never leaves your device.

3. What we do not set

As of the revision date above, hostvault.my sets no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking cookies and no social media pixels. If we ever introduce analytics, it will be switched on only for visitors who pressed Accept, and this page will be updated first.

4. Your choices

• Use the Accept or Reject buttons on the notice shown at your first visit.
• Change your mind at any time via the scissors button in the lower-left corner of every page.
• Clear cookies and site data through your browser settings — the site will simply ask for your preference again.
• Block cookies entirely in your browser; the appointment form requires the session cookie to function, but every other page will work normally.
