Services

Three services, one standard

Everything below happens in the same room, with the same hands, to the same uncompromising finish. The only variable is where your garment begins.

Service One

Private Fittings

The fitting suite is yours alone for the duration of your appointment — mirror, tailor, tape and time.

A first fitting records more than thirty measurements along with posture notes that numbers alone cannot capture: the drop of a shoulder, the roll of a hip, which wrist wears the watch. From these we draft a paper pattern unique to you and keep it on file for every future commission.

Subsequent fittings check the garment against your body in motion — sitting, reaching, walking — because clothes are worn by people, not coat hangers. Expect at least two fittings for a suit and one for shirts and trousers.

Style Consultations

Not sure what you want? That is precisely what this hour is for.

We sit down with swatch books, sketches and — most importantly — questions about your actual week. Courtrooms demand different cloth than site visits; a wedding in Penang in July is a very different engineering problem from a December conference in London.

You leave with a written garment plan: recommended cloth weights and weaves, cut and silhouette, lining and button choices, and an exact price. There is no obligation to commission, and the consultation fee is credited in full if you proceed.

Service Three

Custom Alterations

A well-altered garment can feel bespoke. A badly altered one is ruined forever. Choose your tailor accordingly.

We take in, let out, shorten, lengthen, re-shoulder and re-line — on suits, dresses, baju melayu, cheongsam and vintage pieces that deserve a second life. Structural work is quoted only after we open a seam and see what the original maker left us to work with.

Sentimental garments receive particular care: wedding outfits handed down a generation, a parent's jacket resized for a child's graduation. These are the jobs we are proudest of.

The process

From handshake to hanger

1 · Measure

Thirty-plus measurements, posture notes and a conversation about how and where the garment will live.

2 · Draft & cut

A paper pattern drawn for your body alone, then chalked onto cloth and cut by hand on the big table.

3 · Fit & adjust

Basted fittings reveal the truth. Seams move, shoulders settle, and nothing is final until the mirror says so.

4 · Finish & press

Hand-sewn buttonholes, felled linings and a final press. Collection includes a fit check and care briefing.

Your pattern is waiting to be drawn

Every service starts the same way — with an appointment and a conversation. The tape measure does the rest.
