Terms & Conditions

These terms set out how Golden Shears Atelier Enterprise (trading as HostVault Tailors) works with clients and how this website may be used. Placing a commission or booking an appointment constitutes acceptance of the terms below. They are governed by the laws of Malaysia.

1. Appointments

The atelier operates by appointment only. Requests made through this website are not confirmed until we reply with an agreed date and time. If you cannot attend, please give us twenty-four hours' notice; repeated no-shows may require a booking deposit for future appointments.

2. Commissions and quotations

Every commission is preceded by a written quotation covering cloth, cut, finishing and timeline. The quoted price is fixed once you approve it — if opening a garment or a change of cloth alters the cost, work pauses until you approve a revised figure. Quotations remain valid for thirty days.

3. Deposits and payment

Bespoke commissions require a fifty per cent deposit before cloth is cut; the balance is payable at collection. Alterations under RM 300 are payable in full at collection. We accept cash, bank transfer, and major Malaysian e-wallets.

4. Fittings and timelines

Quoted timelines assume you attend scheduled fittings. A missed fitting pauses the timeline until it is rescheduled. Bespoke suits typically require four to six weeks; we will always tell you honestly if peak season affects your date, and we recommend a buffer before weddings and ceremonies.

5. Your measurements, your pattern

Patterns drafted from your measurements remain the working documents of the atelier, kept on file to serve your future commissions. We will provide your recorded measurements to you on request at any time, free of charge.

6. Garment care and adjustments

Each garment includes a care briefing at collection and complimentary fit adjustment within ninety days. Damage arising from incorrect laundering, third-party alterations or ordinary wear is outside the adjustment promise, though we are always happy to quote for repair.

7. Uncollected garments

Finished garments held longer than ninety days after notification will incur reasonable storage handling, and garments uncollected after twelve months may be disposed of after two written reminders. We really would rather you just came to get your suit.

8. Website use

Content on hostvault.my — text, photography and design — belongs to Golden Shears Atelier Enterprise and may not be reproduced commercially without written permission. You agree not to misuse the appointment form, probe the site's security or submit content that is unlawful or abusive.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Malaysian law. Beyond that, our total liability in connection with a commission is capped at the price paid for that commission. We are not liable for indirect losses such as missed events, though we will move mountains to prevent them.
